This commitment includes transparent and consumer friendly labeling. As a company policy we ensure compliance to the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act (2006). All ingredients are clearly identified on our ingredient panel, and any of the Top 8 allergens contained in the product are repeated in BOLD under the ingredient panel. Please know that we have stringent allergen handling policies, and all team members are trained in allergen handling. On every line, we employ scheduling/sequencing and documented clean out/change-over inspections as part of our allergen control plan. We schedule non allergen products to run before varieties that contain allergens. The line is cleaned before and after every variety is run, and tested for cleanliness after allergens have been run. We have several product lines that are produced in separate facilities that are free of the Top 8 US and the Canadian allergens:

  • Packaged rices including Sprouted Rices and Thai Jasmine Rices

  • Heat & Eat Bowls

Products produced in facilities that contain any of the Top 8 plus Canadian Allergens.

  • Whole Grain Entrees and Risottos: produced in a facility that contains tree nuts, milk, milk products, gluten, soy, sesame seed, mustard, sunflower oil, celery and corn, as they are ingredients of some varieties. All Entrees and Risottos are produced on the same line.

  • Quinoa Tri Color Blend, Quinoa Antique White: While mustard is not an ingredient in Quinoa, wild mustard can grow alongside the quinoa in the field. We cannot guarantee that all of the mustard seed will be removed during processing.

  • Pasta, Pasta & Sauce: produced in a facility that contains peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat or grains that contain gluten, fish, Crustacea, Soy (Soy oil), Sulfites, Sesame Seed, Mustard, Sunflower oil, Celery, and Corn. The pastas are all produced on the same line, which does not process these allergens.

  • Rice Chips: produced in a facility that contains milk, gluten, soy, sesame seed, mustard, sunflower oil, and corn, as they are ingredients of some varieties.

  • Regular Rice Cakes: produced in a facility that contains soy, sesame seed and corn, as they are ingredients of some varieties. All rice cakes are produced on the same line.

  • Thin Stackers: produced in a facility that contains corn and mustard. All Thin Stackers are produced on the same line.

  • Sweet Dreams Rice Cakes: produced in a facility that contains milk and soy, as both are ingredients of both varieties. Corn is also present in the facility. Although peanuts and tree nuts are not present in our facility, they are present in the facility that produces our chocolate, they are not present on the line that produces our purchased ingredients. All of our suppliers are subject to the same allergen procedures as we hold for ourselves. The Sweet Dreams are all produced on the same line.

  • Rice Syrup: produced in a facility that contains gluten.

As we introduce new products the allergen information may change. We encourage you and all of our allergen sensitive consumers to continue check, and we welcome your questions.
